EMDEX II ACCESSORIES:

This is not a stand-alone product - it requires an EMDEX Il to operate. The EMDEX Il Electric Field probe, or E-probe for short, allows an EMDEX Il meter to measure and display power frequency (50 and 60Hz) electric fields using the 'AUX' jack on the side of the instrument. The EMDEX Il E-Probe has been especially designed to measure electric fields by using an EMDEX Il as a "free body" type of meter. The measurement of power-frequency electric fields is different from magnetic fields. Most objects will perturb the electric field within a measurement area. Thus the probe can not be worn or kept close to a person, or placed close to an object, without distorting the electric field readings. The E-Probe has a fiberglass extension pole designed to isolate the user from the actual sensor for this reason. The pole is designed to isolate the user and is not intended for use as a hot-stick! In general, a good rule to follow is to not use any instrument close to energized circuits. The E-probe is attached to a fiberglass pole with a handle at the opposite end. The EMDEX Il is placed between the two sensing plates of the E-Probe and connected to them via an external cable. The pole can be extended and contracted as desired but the meter and probe should never be held closer than the normal length of the pole when taking readings. NOTE: EMCALC 95, Version B or higher software is required to operate the EMDEX Il in conjunction with the E-probe. A custom EMDEX Il operating program is included with EMCALC 95b or higher software that allows the EMDEX Il to display readings in kV/m when used with the E-Probe.

LINDA Measurement System

This is not a stand-alone product - it requires an EMDEX Il to operate. The LINear Data Acquisition (LINDA) system is an accessory for the EMDEX II magnetic field measurement system. LINDA uses a customized measurement wheel and an EMDEX Il meter to measure magnetic field and distance along a path. A magnetic switch mounted on LINDA's wheel sends a signal to the REMOTE jack on the EMDEX Il every 1 foot of travel. Because the EMDEX Il records data at a fixed rate, the user may walk slowly with the LINDA wheel to produce detailed measurements over a short distance or may walk quickly to produce more generalized measurements over longer paths. Angular changes in direction are entered by the user into the EMDEX Il using the up/down and event marker buttons. This allows a user to map the field over an area.

Amp-Logger Model 200A

This is not a stand-alone product - it requires the EMDEX Il to operate. The EMDEX II Amp-Logger is a flexible accessory to the family of EMDEX II products. The Amp-Logger, complete with its clamp-on current probe, plugs into the EMDEX II magnetic field meters auxiliary port to simultaneously monitor or continuously record power-frequency current flow on various types of low voltage conductors (water pipes, secondary circuits, service drops, industrial or commercial building and house wiring, neutrals ground rods, etc.). The Amp-Loggers small size and light-weight make it an ideal addition to the EMDEX II measurement system. EMCALC software, included in the purchase of Amp-Logger, can be used with recorded data to produce statistical analysis of current values, current vs time graphs, and display the simultaneous magnetic field readings taken with the EMDEX Il meter.

EMCALC 2013 Software

Designed for use with Windows XP, 7, 8, and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit versions) EMCALC is the communicatons and analysis software designed specifically for your EMDEX Il and EMDEX LITE meters.
EMCALC 2013, which is the current version of the software, runs under Windows 7, 8, and 10 (both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions). as well as XP. The 2013 version contains many of the same features of earlier versions and contains a few new features unique to this product.

The New features included in EMCALC 2013 are listed below:

To download the EMCALC2013 software, please click on the link above to take you to DropBox.

Once the screen loads, look at the upper right hand corner of the screen for a button labeled “Download” and click on that button.
> Select the “Direct Download” option.
> Select the “Save File” option.
> The file “EMCALC2013.zip” will be downloaded onto your computer in your designated download folder.
> Once the download is complete, navigate to your designated download folder and move the “EMCALC2013.zip” file to a folder of your choice.
> Double-click on the file to start extracting the software from the zip file. Most operating systems have the capability to extract a zip file automatically. If yours doesn’t, then you will need to search on the Internet for a program to open zip files (there are many free zip software programs available).
> Once the software has been extracted, click on the “setup” file to start the software installation process. Please use 20130267 as your EMCALC 2013 Serial Number.
> Once the software has been installed, start the EMCALC2013 software. The software will prompt you for an unlock code.
> The "Universal" unlock code for EMCALC 2013 is 1741955335. This unlock code should work on any computer.
